During her residency at TAMAT in 2015, Caroline Fainke explored the inherent link between the front and back of fabrics, between the visible and hidden, noble and obscure aspects of textiles. She raised a sensitive sociological question related to all the anonymous “little hands” working behind the scenes in the production of consumer goods, yet guaranteeing the sustainability and development of society. The exhibition revealed the inner workings of a laborious, often hidden, job driven by the laws of productivity, symbolically reflected in the accumulation of mini-containers filled with textile waste.

This work has been added to the TAMAT collection.
It is listed in the Proscitec Network Inventory.
From September 12 to November 6, 2022, ‘Containers’ participated in a group exhibition at Tamat: Dé-Border, contemporary art triennial.

‘Containers’ was also exhibited from March 30 to August 4, 2024, as part of the Abstract exhibition. This exhibition brought together works from the TAMAT collection, both recently acquired and older pieces, in a dialogue on abstraction.
