Sawata is a powerful solo born from an intimate loss, a journey between memory and rebirth. Drawing on both House Dance and Pan-African dance traditions, dancer and choreographer Nadeeya taps into her Cameroonian roots to explore the symbolism of water—fluid, infinite, untamed—and its healing power. On stage, the body engages in a dialogue with the unseen, dances buried memories, and celebrates life despite absence. With a raw, visceral, and organic physicality, Sawata transforms loss into movement, and memory into a vibrant pulse.
